Introduction
People around the world enjoy spaghetti, a long, cylindrical pasta originating from Italy. The best are made from durum wheat semolina. Spaghetti is cooked in boiling water salted to taste, then served with various types of sauces. I'd like to share with you how I cook it for a couple. It only takes 30min from preparation to serving. It's one of my favorite quick meal after a hectic day.
Method
- Heat the wok.
- Pour in 3 tablespoons of cooking oil, preferably olive oil.
- Add coarsely chopped garlic. Fry till sizzling but not till brown.
- Add tomato and diced chicken meat. Fry till chicken meat is thoroughly cooked.
- Add broccoli and cauliflower.
- Add half teaspoon salt and a quarter teaspoon sugar to taste.
- Add half cup of water. Cover the wok and let simmer.
- When cauliflower is soft enough, add half a piece of cheddar cheese (singles), 5 tablespoons of pasta sauce, and a few dashes of oregano or spice.
- Add corn starch solution to thicken the sauce. A thicker sauce will stick to the spaghetti better.
- Serve on spaghetti al dente.
